1. Where do Cascais charters depart from?

   Marina de Cascais, a five-minute walk from the centre of Cascais and 40 minutes by train from Lisbon (Cais do Sodré → Cascais line).
2. Do I need a boat licence?

   No. Every charter is fully crewed with a licensed captain.
3. What is the signature Cascais route?

   Most full-day charters head west along the Estoril coast to Cabo Raso lighthouse, then either north to the cliffs at Cabo da Roca (continental Europe’s westernmost point) or south to the Arrábida natural park.
4. Can we swim along the route?

   Yes — the bays just west of Cascais (Praia do Guincho area sheltered side, Cabo Raso) and the Arrábida coves to the south have clean Atlantic water for swimming, snorkelling and paddle-boarding.
5. What is included?

   Captain, fuel for the published route, soft drinks, water, paddle-board and snorkel kit on most boats, and full insurance. Catering and premium drinks on request.
6. How long does a Cascais charter typically run?

   Half-day four hours, full-day eight, sunset two to three hours. The Arrábida cliffs are roughly a full-day round-trip from Cascais.
7. What happens if the wind picks up?

   The Cabo da Roca area gets fresh north-westerlies in summer afternoons. The captain will adjust the route — often heading east into the more sheltered Tagus mouth — rather than cancel. If conditions are genuinely unsafe, we reschedule at no cost.
8. How many guests can come?

   Cascais fleet capacities range from six on the smaller Beneteau through eighteen on the Falcon 82 and Bali 54.
9. When is the best season for Cascais?

   May to October. The Atlantic is cooler than the Algarve — expect 18 to 22 °C in summer. June through September is the sweet spot for warm air and reliable wind.
10. Is it suitable for a private event or family celebration?

    Yes — the larger boats carry up to 18 guests for birthdays, anniversaries and company days. We can coordinate catering, music and a photographer.
11. How quickly will you reply?
